Thumbs down! Have to agree with just about everything covered in another review on this particular dating website, xpress.com. In particular is the fact as was mentioned, "don't waste your time unless you want to be teased." Pretty much this has been the sum total of my... See Moreexperience on xpress.com, just being teased. Oh, and it is plenty expensive as well. Money is much better spent on a dating website that is not entertainment based.

I've been a member on xpress.com for about a month and a half. I've had numerous contacts, and conversations going all the while, but shortly after the first month I started having suspicions, and I noticed a pattern emerge among the "female" members I have been in contact with. This is electronic dating, and you really don't know who you are in contact with, male or female, unless you actually meet a real live person.

Seems as if they either hire people to send you messages, or the ones who do contact you are just part of xpress.com itself. The pattern I mentioned? Once contact is made, they keep your interest going and string you along with messages back and forth every one to three days. These supposed female members are extremely reluctant to provide a name, and they ignore any efforts on your part to actually meet. The messages they keep you "entertained" with are limited to what I call, one-liners. If you seem to have an interest going, and you ask to meet, you'll get a reply like, "soon," or "I can't wait," but it never goes any further.

After you've been flirting and messaging back and forth for a while, and then try to ask for a chat on yahoo for example, exchange email addresses, or get a phone number... it will be ignored, and you'll get no reply to direct questions. Oh, you'll get a reply to your message, but no response for direct contact. And, oftentimes they merely answer your question with a question.

Let me qualify myself here. I'm probably what is known by some as a "serial dater," I like to meet and date a lot of women. I've had very good success and experiences on other dating websites, such as match.com for example... but xpress.com is dead in the water compared to that. So why the big difference? I'd have to say that xpress.com is nothing more than a scam to keep your membership going so you keep paying your dues. They have great advertising, but no substance. I think that if you're not some weirdo, or hopelessly desperate, you're better off on another dating website... because sooner or later, you're going to catch on, and then "the cat's out of the bag" with xpress.com.
