All the people shouting "wolf" because they ask for ID really need to learn to read the link they provide for why and what you need to provide.

I was a little taken aback by them asking for scanned ID then I read the page:

All they want to see is your name and expiry date on some valid ID. You can black out the rest of it.

Used them twice now with no issues. When you save 50% against RRP who can complain?

There is no word of it before the checkout or during it. They need up to 24h to refund. I am still waiting for mine.

Beware of this shop, the few bucks you save will cost you more harm then good

After reading the below feedback, I think it is fair to say that people are only coming to this site to complain, and it does not provide a fair representation of the service offered by gameholds. I suspect many of the users having problems in fact have discrepancies in their

I am a UK user, paid via. a verified Paypal account and have not experienced any of the problems mentioned by other users on this site. My key arrived within 20 minutes of payment and I was not contacted for any further verification. After having a good experience, I recommended the site to the other guys in my house who also bought copies so that we could play multiplayer and also did not experience any issues.

I think it is fairly standard practice for companies such as these to request documents if they believe your order to be a fraud risk. Often factors such as the distance of the geographic location of your IP address from your billing address, your Paypal account status and reputation blacklists are considered. The fact that they do this does not mean they are phishing or selling your details. In these circumstances I would just request for my order to be cancelled and then I would make the purchase somewhere else.

Disgraceful behaviour. I have had a verified paypal account for years. Paid for GW2 key only to receive the most blatant phishing email ever. No Key, but an email pointing out 3 reasons for them requiring further authentication. Those reasons included large mass purchases with my paypal account (they would... See Morenot know that, neither is it true), that my account was not verified (again completely bogus), and a high rate of paypal chargeback in my country (UK). Well perhaps there's a high rate of chargeback (refunds requested) because of the email they send out.

They wanted (in addition to my email, phone number, address already provided) a copy of my passport, and some bogus form so they could obtain my signature???

How many times have you ever been asked for such things from a paypal purchase?

After disputing this very odd email. I got absolutely nowhere. I gave them 2 hours to resolve my transaction, no code (which was in stock allegedly). Allegedly they're going to refund me in 2 days, but is suspect I'll have to force paypal to get my money back.

Absolute scam site.

PROS: Despite what some other reviews have said about this website, my experience was great! I ordered a Guild Wars 2 CD Key and received it 10 minutes later. Would definitely order again from them.

CONS: Was slightly expensive, GW2 key was 65$ rather than 59$ from another retailer but everyone... See Moreelse was sold out so I had no choice.

This is a fraud site. Bought a minecraft cd key from them.. took 3 days of demanding my money back before they sent me a key at all. The key was from the alpha version of the game it was over 2 years old! Clearly the key didn't work so... See MoreI still demanded my money back and they said "sure it will take 24 hours". 24 hours later and no return I asked them and they said "ok we will give you a return it will take 48 hours".. well that didn't happen either and even after a week nothing. ALSO just to point out on the minecraft website they say on there any site selling minecraft is a fraud site and minecraft.net is the only place to buy it. Wish I read that beforehand. Either way I told paypal and paypal put the money back in my account. Hopefully paypal will do something to these thieves.
