I purchased two $10 gift cards from that cost me $5 each. At least twice during the time the certificates were active, I went to this Quiznos location and they had closed early. Now the certificates have expired. I went to use a certificate for the... See Morepaid value and I was told that Quiznos would not honor it. (Because we were running late, we bought two sandwiches, but we were very upset.) Over a month ago I brought Quiznos unwillingness to honor the paid value of the certificate to the attention of said: "We’ve compensated the merchant for these deals long ago. It is their legal responsibility to honor the paid value in good or services. We cannot stay in business paying out deals more than more time. They are considered the issuer of the certificate. Please understand our position.….. multiply 5.00, times hundreds of certificates that we’ve already compensated the merchant for. That’s why we need them to understand what their responsibility is here." Basically, will not stand behind their product. Granted, it is Quiznos fault (they don't honor their obligation), but I do not have a contractual relationship with Quiznos. does.

Use caution when using

My daughter bought me a gift certificate to a local restaurant (Embers in York, PA) for Christmas. I decided to use the certificate to take my wife to dinner on Valentine's day. There was no mention any where on the certificate about... See Moreweekends, hloidays, or any other type of black out date. So, I was somewhat surprised (to say the least) when I tried to pay for our dinners, and the owners refused to accept the gift certificate (that was already paid for).

I emailed through their website, but haven't received a response.

I understand that doubletakedeals cannot control each individual merchant, but I did expect them to respond to my email in a timely manner.

This was my first (and only) experience with doubletakedeals. I'd advise use caution.
