for the people as they claim many times on there pamphlet and the sickening felling I get in my stomach when I hear the ad on the radio my ass. if I could give a negative star rating I would. I was told, congratulations your approved. all I needed was... See More$2000 down and I can drive away in a 2001 Ford Focus, the price for the car was $11000. I looked it up on KBB the value was $2900. cant believe it is legal for 199ride.com to charge me $11000 for a $2900 car, that's not including interest. at the end of paying off the car would be $16000 for a $2900 car. total rip off. please don't be fooled, there pressure tactics, I love the first words out of there mouths from first on phone, then in person tactics. what color would you like. etc...on and on. please again people who are considering financing with them, you will be charged 4 times the value of the car you would get. this is from some one who knows first hand from dealing with 199ride.com

SheriH3 had the very same experience I did. I wish I could rate negative stars. I feel like I can sum up my experience by sharing the email I sent to the "appointment scheduler" after my visit to Appleton Auto Sales.

... See MoreI just wanted to take a few moments to thank you personally for wasting half of my Saturday this past weekend. I understand that a person in my position doesn't have the luxury of being too picky when it comes to car dealerships, but I would have at least expected a little honesty. From the moment we first spoke until the time I left that dealership on Saturday, nobody wanted to give me a straight answer. I asked you to have someone contact me with info on the cars I was interested in...that never happened. I called the dealership on Friday to ask the same, left a voicemail, and guess what...I never heard back from them either. Why would that be? Ohhhhhh...right. Because they NEVER had the car I was looking for in the first place.

I show up and am immediately ushered into the store, where I'm asked to provide all of my personal information while my questions are dodged. Not until they had all of my information did they tell me the only vehicle they had that was even close to what I was looking for was a $20,000 Subaru Legacy, which I did drive. The salesman then proceeded to give me a "sale" price, which was more than $3000 over kbb value. After an hour and a half of the finance guy "going back and forth with lenders", the owner of the store came out and told me that I would need a co-signer. When I told him I wasn't interested in going that route, he very quickly dismissed me. No "thanks for stopping in", or "come on back if your situation changes"...nothing. He may as well have told me to go f*!k myself.

I had a feeling from the start that your only intent was to get me into the dealership to hand me off to your pushy salespeople, whose only interest is getting you into a vehicle..but not the one you came in looking for. I only stopped in because I was on my way through and thought it was worth a look.

If someone asks me about 199ride or anything associated with it, I promise you I will share this experience with them. Heck, I may even go out of my way to tell people proactively.

Thank you for the experience,

Not that I was surprised, but I did not receive a reply. Steer clear, people. I've dealt with some shady "buy here, pay here" type dealerships before, but these guys took it to a whole new level. Buyer beware!

This was the worst place I have ever been too! We sat there for three hours but I'll tell you what happened. My husband and I walked into their dealership and right off the bat my husband had told this guy named Chris that we wanted an SUV. Chris said... See Moreokay and said well we will have to enter in your information to see what lenders will work with you. Well that's a joke because after running our credit he said well we have a vehicle for you! Said to hold on one moment and we went to go get vehicle. He brought us around a 2013 Nissan. Right away I asked what the payments would be like. He said between 300-400 which was in our range per month. My husband looked at the guy and said wait I wanted an SUV not a car. Chris told him to take the car around and see if we liked it. My husband argued with him for a while and we decided to just shut the guy up that we would take the car around. We did, yes it's a great car but when we got back to the dealership he said he had to talk to his financial advisor. He spent more time in that office than he did with us. He came out of the office and said now we were only approved for an older car and that this car needed a cosigner. So my husband said fine what do you have in the lot that we can look at. Oh well we have some vehicles but they wouldn't show us which ones. I will never go back there ever again! Just take a hint that this place is a rip off. Oh and I know two others that have had the same problem with this company!
