This site has its good and bad points in a major way. The pros are the ease of being able to post something such as an item for sale, etc, as well as locating items or services that you're seeking, but the cons are up there as well. There are... Mehr zeigena lot of problems in the area of spammers on that site that spam those who post ads and also those who spam the site itself in posting ads.

Personally, I think it would be helpful if they had people pay for postings through a fee structure either for 1 wk, 30 days, 6 months or annual use or by category, especially those of the SERVICES CATEGORY, PERSONALS, AND ANYTHING TO DO WITH REAL ESTATE OR JOBS. Those who didn't have the finances could be allowed a small number of monthly manually approved postings. I use it so much for a number of things I would have no issue with that. Something needs to be done to curb the abuse of all the spamming on that site.

Some people have really been hurt by it. There are also some people who target specific ads and who knows only but them why they do it and flag it off somehow. There are people who have been hurt by this as well - for instance, a woman whose daughter was killed in a car accident needed homes for her daughter's horses and people ganged up on her ads and every time she tried to post an ad about it, they would flag it off and she was very desperate to see to it the horses got a good home. That sort of childishness in flagging should not happen.

Then there are those that have been scammed by locals advertising under the real estate/apartments/houses for rent. It's no longer foreigners who are scamming people online but locals are now getting in on the action. They have been posting all kinds of things under these For Rent sections and then taking peoples' money for deposit, etc and not returning it if they didn't rent the property, some are demanding social security numbers just to see a place and we can't trust anyone today to be using these online places just to take social security numbers from us and do whatever they wish with them. Then there are those that spam the For Rent sections with posts unrelated to the section, like that they BUY HOUSES IN FORECLOSURE, ETC but they post on the For Rent section yet they don't have any houses for rent, etc, they're just preying upon those who are losing their homes and taking advantage of the free use of the site. Also, those that post in the FOR RENT SECTION SHOULD ALWAYS BE REQUIRED TO POST A PHONE NUMBER TO CONTACT. Many are abusing the For Rent section with OTHER PEOPLES HOMES AND PICTURES OF THEIR HOMES BUT CLAIMING THEM FOR THEMSELVES, then scamming those that inquire about the house or spamming them via email.

There is no end to the number of scams that can be posted in the JOBS area as well.

It would be good if they could put their heads together over at the site and come up with better safe guards.

If I were to rate the site on a scale of 1-10 and 10 being the best I regret to say I would have to give it a 4 or 5 because there is so much improvement that the site could make to help communities.
